Dulcinea Delights

I realize that I have already posted about Dulcinea before, when I was in Megamall with my friend Pehpot. But I love Dulcinea so much that I’m posting about it again!

My fellow foodies Pehpot and Fedhz surprised me for my birthday last Wednesday, and after our very late lunch at Orchard Road, we went for a sweet fix where else but my favorite Dulcinea. This time I was able to take much better pictures, and more goodies too. Without further adieu, here are my house favorites:

Churros con Chocolate P95

Nothing comes close to the churros con chocolate that Dulcinea serves. The churros are fried to perfection — crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. And the chocolate dip is h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y. In fact, Peh loves it so much that if we weren’t out, she would probably have cleaned it off with her fingers!

Ah, my childhood favorite! I’m 28 now but I can still remember having these as a child and oh how I love it! I can eat several of these in one sitting, even if I am just at home playing FoxyBingo or eating them as dessert, but let’s not talk about that.

Mini Cream Puffs P60

We ordered two boxes of these mini cream puffs. We prefer these mini versions instead of the regular sized ones as these aren’t overwhelmingly sweet with just the right amount of caramel topping instead of a huge chunk on top. I can still imagine eating these but can’t forget but laugh at the memory of forgetting to pay our bill. We had to go back up to the 4th floor and pay! Imagine the embarrassment. But hey, we did go back to pay when we remembered, so it’s not all that bad. Made my birthday even more memorable than it already is.

Don’t think that this will be my last post on Dulcinea. I have yet to talk about the main dishes they offer! Please watch out for that.
