Food Trip at the Astoria Regency Hotel

We brought the kids swimming at the Astoria Regency Hotel one hot Friday afternoon, and of course, while the kids are busy swimming, adults are busy eating. What else is there left to do, right? My mom treated us to afternoon snacks by the pool, and it was enjoyable as well as relaxing as the cool breeze of the mountain blew.

The service was quick and efficient, and it wasn’t too long before our order came out freshly cooked from the hotel kitchen.

For starters we had my favorite crisy fried calamares (fried squid):

I loved how the squid meat wasn’t tough, and so even the kids were able to get a taste of these as well.

Speaking of the kids, my little Sabyn absolutely loves crisy chicken wings. And so we ordered a plate of these for them to munch on:

I found them a tad too salty, but the kids loved them anyway. I guess it was salty because it came with a vinegar dip which I didn’t even bother to touch. Maybe that could have changed the taste. Oh well.

My cousin had ordered this cheese burger with fries. It’s a bit bigger than standard, with a juicy and hefty patty inside:

I tried a bite and it was delicious. Not much out of the ordinary though.

We also had the pancit canton, which, in my opinion is one of the best pancit canton in Zamboanga City.

The kids also had spaghetti but I was too busy eating I forgot to take a picture.
